About Us
Your main therapist and founder of the Trauma Recovery clinic is Tom Buckland who runs clinics in London as well as his home town of Basingstoke. Tom is an experienced therapist of many years and is trained in Hypnotherapy, CBT, Stress Management, NLP as well as Counselling. He has a great interest in the treatment of trauma and is particularly interested in PTSD. It was through treating many people with these issues that helped him decide to form the Trauma Recovery Clinic.

Tom started his journey when he went through some therapy himself, and from here he became fascinated by human behaviour and how the mind can be both magnificent in developing people in a positive way, but also how quickly it can develop negative responses such as phobias and PTSD.
Tom has spent many years in specialist training, and has developed his own skills to help people while in therapy. He is a fully qualified hypnotherapist and is a full member of The National Register of Advanced Hypnotherapist (by invitation). He is also a fully qualified practitioner of NLP and has been to many workshops dealing with trauma and uses the NLP Rewind Technique (a dissociative therapy) and has developed Bi Lateral Reprocessing (similar to EMDR). Tom is a member of the prestigious Royal Society of Medicine in London, and has attended their training on Trauma and PTSD.
Tom is a member of the following organisations:
